Sixteen students from SW DANCE Academy aged 9-17 years old have qualified to represent the United Kingdom and are preparing to travel to the Czech Republic in June to take part in the IDO World Disco and Disco Freestyle Championships.
The event is organised by the by the International Dance Organisation and the IDO World Disco & Disco Freestyle Championships are set to take place between June 22 and 25, in Chomutov, Czech Republic. It’s a competitive disco and disco freestyle event presented by the IDO, an organisation established in 1981 to organise competitions for dance forms not covered by other international dancing federations and governing bodies.
We are appealing for the public’s assistance to help cover their costs of travel, accommodation, kit and entry fees amongst other things to ensure they can fulfil their dream and take part in the competition.
SW DANCE Academy Principal and teacher Suzie Wallington said “I am very proud of this group of talented young dancers. They have been training incredibly hard, always give 100 per cent to their dance tuition and really deserve this opportunity to represent their Country”.
They will be working hard on new solo and duo choreography from now until June when the World Championships start and are hoping that with your help it will get a group of local girls to dance on the World stage.
